The 14th Amendment gave us birth rights to be US citizens. Did we choose? NO..but we love this country as much as any other person. Our parents/grandparents came here to give us a better opportunity than what they had. We are the future of this country and no matter how much they try to bury us they forget we are seeds.
“Anchor baby” is a term (regarded by some as a pejorative) used to refer to a child born to a non-citizen mother in a country that has birthright citizenship which will therefore help the mother and other family members gain legal residency. In the U.S., the term is generally used as a derogatory reference to the supposed role of the child, who automatically qualifies as an American citizen under jus soli and the rights guaranteed in the 14th Amendment
