What Do You Do When Your Dreams Come True?

The pulse of Charro Azteca you’ve never heard before

Bringing Charro Azteca from concept to fruition was by no means an easy journey. In fact, there were several times I almost threw in the towel completely and dimmed the lights on Charro Azteca. It’s in these times when I had nothing but a gut feeling and an incessant desire to look after others that I was held together by sheer survival skills.

Being the eldest of three siblings, I carried the duty of looking after my siblings. Covering for them when they messed up, offering guidance when I could and even now, I constantly worry about setting an example.

Charro Azteca is more than just a side project or an exercise in entrepreneurship. Since its founding in January 2015, Charro Azteca was rooted in family. I aspired to build something that would take care of my children and my siblings too. Something that would prove to a father that his son could face the world on his own.

May of 2017 was when Mitu featured a piece on Charro Azteca and what we were all about. That was the miracle that catapulted my small business into something worldwide. Not only did the exposure and regular business secure my family, it also allowed me to hire my only sister full time like I always dreamed. Mitu was the catalyst for a list of miracles. After that, Tecate featured me as a Mexican success story for the GGG vs. Canelo fight. September of the same year, I landed myself on Univision. Finally in the first month of 2018, my brother joined the Charro Azteca team full time.

So that leaves me with the question, what do you do when your dreams come true?

Well for me, it means keep pushing. Not only is my family now secure, but the families in Mexico that supply my products have come to depend on this business as well. Families in Zacatecas, Jalisco, Michoacan, Oaxaca, Yucatan and Guanajuato are now secure and ready to work with Charro Azteca for the long run.

This journey is far from over. In fact, it’s only the beginning but while I have the chance, I want to tell this story. My story. Our story. Let Charro Azteca stand as proof that your dreams can and will come true when you hold fast to your family, your traditions and the values that raised you. From the bottom of my heart, from my family to yours, thank you for your support.
